Aphrodite Unleashed!
or ... HOW TO HAVE A WONDERFUL SPA DAY FOR A PITTANCE!!
A day of unadulterated pleasure was had by us yesterday in the beautiful summer sun in Hamilton.
For yesterday we decided to visit a spa - in the comfort of my home!
No huge prices to pay, no strangers needing to be 'small talked' to.
Quite simply, total and unadulterated hedonistic 'me time'!
The idea came because all 'us girls' wanted to go to Bali this year for a holiday, and to sample their amazing spa retreats.
However, due to one thing and another (life being as it is), we did not end up going (yet :D)
Sooo, I decided to bring a bit of Bali to us!
For a mere $50.00 per person I managed to put together this package:
Complete bath ritual, including:
Soothing bath with hand blended Cleopatra’s ‘Milk of the Nile’ bath milk
Soothing body lotions
Bag of luxury hand-made bathroom ‘goodies’ to take away
(these products were made by me)
Nourishing facials and skin care analysis
(supplied 'free of charge' by the local 'Nutrimetics' representative.
This amazing lady was scheduled to stay for two hours, and stayed the WHOLE day! Thank you so very much Winsome, what a wonderful lady you are!)
Bubbly and refreshments (non-alcoholic)
Lunch
(supplied by me)

'The Dance of Aphrodite' by Spiritual Dance Worker, Mary Hunt
(one of the most amazing and moving experiences I have ever had the honour of being present to witness!
Again, Mary and her co-dancer Hannah, volunteered their skills non-gratis!
Thank you both - how amazing it was to have Aphrodite join us in such a powerful and beautiful way).

(this created a wonderful atmosphere and there was no pressure - just beautiful things to admire and purchase if you wished).
The girls were all asked to bring robes to relax throughout the day - and then the rest unfurled quite naturally.
And here is the bath ritual that we all experienced:
For the Love of Self, and to realize the Beauty Within.
Timing: Waxing Moon (when the moon is growing to full)
Mood: Private time with no interruptions
Setting: Bathroom
Light the candle.
Rub your whole body with the bath salts – imaging the salts
Of the sea purifying your body and linking you with
The great Aphrodite – be reminded that you are a
Daughter of Aphrodite – take pleasure in this
Knowledge.
Rinse with running water and rinse the bath out.
Put in plug and run both taps at a comfortable temperature.
Take the bath milk and sprinkle into the water.
Use a good large spoon or two.
As the milk dissolves in the water, make a wish from the
heart that this bath will make you realize
your beauty and make it manifest this day.
Sprinkle fresh rose petals onto the bath and know
The beauty of nature is with you also.
Call on the powers of Aphrodite to bless this bath and
your body. Love, cherish and respect your body,
relishing all its beautiful curves, and womanly beauty.
Fully immerse your body into the waters and soak in its
wonderful energies. Meditate on your beauty and feel
your beauty emerging from your inner self.
When you are ready to leave this bath, know that you
are a beautiful and desirable daughter of Aphrodite.
