INTERESTING FEEDBACK ON THE 'CALL FOR PEACE'

no sooner had I invited people to join in this venture (see my previous blog, 'JOIN IN THE WHEEL OF LIGHT FOR PEACE!!!') than I was hit with this email ...

my reply follows :D

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

they say ...

Sure it's terrible that people think they must resort to this kind of action to get their point across.
But I ask you all what kind of society is it that breeds that neccessity - What forced these people to the point that they consider this the only way, or best way to carry their message. I doubt that it's a fun prank or the equivalent of a letter to the editor. Something powers these people and makes there attitude warp? What is it? Is there change needed that only such actions will wake the coccooned wealthy folk?

And again with intent. I see that someone is doing another directionless magick/power raising. Why haven't they done it about (for example) the road victims. Oh its lovely to burn candles and feel happy about ones' lot in the universe (and blithely, smuggly, go on with ones' life) but not about looking for real changes to behaviours and attitudes the makes road carnage / collateral violence social acceptable. I'll repeat the earlier number as a reminder: EVERY eight weeks the same sort of number of people die in vehicle accidents in LONDON. (Thats not the UK or Britain thats just London. doesn't include all the other cities in the world. one city every 8 weeks (56 days). every 8 weeks.)

And compare the amount of work, resources and feeling that gets generated. One bombing is more guards, new procedures and world wide press. The road deaths is business as normal. acceptable deaths.

... and my reply ...

so ... spell working is not creating real changes?
Interesting

I am a witch, not a politician, and this is how I go about my business.

As a celtic witch I do not benignly burn pretty candles and feel smug about doing 'fuzzy things' before I go on with my life. This IS my life and I live it every day - candles or not!

I would also like to say to you that I work many spells for many reasons. This is the first time I have invited others to join within this forum. Such a shame that is be-littled before it is even tried.

And if not this subject, which would make you feel better? We could of course pick any. And if you read the invitation it is actually very open - this has merely been the catalyst for group workings for 'world peace' ...

Metaphysically speaking, the idea is to create an energy that manifests and grows with more people having the same 'intent'. Therefore, this positive intent is released into the universe counter-acts the negative intent that is creating such unbalance in the world.

Who are we to say one person is right or wrong? We cannot, and must not go down that path - all we can work on is the challenge as a whole. If that includes burning candles to link the world and to connect energies, then so be it.
If you have any suggestions I would also be open to hear them.
However, I feel it would be a shame to sit and feel we can do nothing - I do not accept this as a truth.

Please be mindful of your words before going on the attack and be-littling others beliefs and actions my friend.

Please also be aware of the powers of the Universe and the powers of collective visualisation - do not make this a small and useless thing that peole are wishing to do. If it is not for you, then that is fine. But I am sure it will be for others.

You assume a great deal in your words, and I am sure you know who assumption is the mother of?

Love and Light to you my friend
(candles are optional)

I would be very interested to read other people's views on this, please feel free to add your comments :D

I have been asked to share these words from another ...

Dear Concerned Person for the Road Deaths in Britain:

I can't for the life of me work out how you could relate prayers and energy for World Peace with Road Deaths in Britain.
Yes, it is true, there have been bombings in London, but it is also true that there have been floods, typhoons, earthquakes and all manner of deaths and destruction at the hands of nature as well as humans all around the world within the last couple of months.
We are not biased in our work for peace - what would be the point in that? Peace comes from working together in harmony and there is no harmony in choosing sides.
Road Deaths in Britain? Sure, if I were in Britain I'd support getting that toll down in the best way possible, but I'm not in Britain, I'm in New Zealand - we have our own problems to deal with on that front.
You don't want to join in - that's completely your own choice and I won't knock it, but if you can't say something constructive, the best course of action is to be silent - I dare you.

Love, Light and Peace,
Diamond Tiger

AND MORE COMMENTS FROM ANOTHER SAY THIS ...

I am going to play Devils Advocate here

I think you are both coming at it from opposite ends of the spectrum ...... and that is cool.

One from a 'physical' point of view ..... and the other from an 'etheric' point.

But we do know that they clash quite frequently

I only say one thing .....

"No snowflake ever thinks it created an avalanche"

Each will do what they can in their own way, in a way that suits them.

I applaud anyone that gets off their butt and attempts to make a difference, in anything, in anyway - no matter how small or ineffectual others may believe it to be.

At the end of the day - the point is - they cared enough to attempt to do something and gave a sh!t.

And that is good. We need to care. Now stay with me here .............

Accidents happen.
Drive a motor car and there is the possibility of having an accident - either from others stupidity/bad luck or your own.
Bungy jump and there is the possibility that the rope may snap.
Jump out of a plane and there is the possibility that your parachute may not open.

All these things carry a certain amount of risk that we are all aware of and we do them anyway.

But take a bus or the tube to work and get blown up because someone imposes their will over/onto others which result in multiple deaths ????? Not to mention the trauma that was created for millions of people !!!

And for that reason alone - I can not think of the bombing deaths in the same vein as the London road toll.

Love Skadicat
PS - Ok so now I have added the 'moral' point of view to the 'physical / etheric' pot LOLOL

ANOTHER COMMENT IS AS FOLLOWS ...

You just wouldn't believe the small minded-ness of some people, hah...wat concerns me is that you thought they were worthy of your time and energy to even bother replying to!!!!! Must say it was an extremely well written response thou. Do these people not realise that it is that exact negative-ness that we are trying to eliminate from our day to day living...do they not realise how much more positive energies we (the little candle-burning do gooders) have to put out there to try and re-balance the inbalances they are causing!!!!!

I'm with u buddy (candles or not)...my soul is sending out thoughts of peace and well being into the universe - every little bit counts.

another view is as follows ...
(name witheld by request of writer)

I thought that the person who wrote to you raised a point or two ( not very articulately or with much consideration of the subtlties) and I think your response is an excellent one. You have answered the challenge I believe, very well. I agree with all that you wrote in reply to your friend. Of course we know that people get desperate and there is injustice in the world, and sometimes it feels like nothing is changing... however when we feel like that we don't make a bomb; we do light candles, and make spells, and live with love and hope and faith, and send those visualisations of peace, plenty and justice into the universe. I know the Christian churches have been doing this for centuries, however I believe that a lot of people now follow a church not a belief. If witches don't believe in the power of incantation, faith and manifestation to create change - who does?
As for the "smug" charge - I do try to remember to give thanks for all the great blessings that fill my life, for all the struggles and sufferings that have shaped my wisdom, and for all the raw power and potential of this universe - I am grateful that I am not so desperate at this time that I can be convinced that the only way to create justice is to kill others - I am grateful that I am not so unthinkingly blind that I would believe anyone who told me this sick lie. so if that is smug? Well I guess I am. And thankful, and filled with grief for those who mourn, and filled with hope for the power circle that is raising the healing of us all, the dead, the mourners, the fearful, the desperate, the lost. all of us. I'd write more, but I have to go and set my candle ready so that I remember to light it again tonight, and who knows? maybe the people who read your blog will think about it and remember too. So now I give thanks for the blessing of the friend who wrote you that response, I feel more determined than ever now, to make sure I am part of the circle of peace tonight.
love and light (and candles!) to you today my dear friend
