Awesome Astro Times Ahead

CHOOSING AN EVENT WORTHY OF THE ASPECT

This is an abridged letter sent to me by a good friend.
Awesome theory - one that is very close to my beliefs - if you are interested in astrology, magick, quantum physics, then read on ...

This information was taken from an astrologer and student of the esoteric aspects;

With the countdown to the grand quintile aspect now in progress, I feel
motivated to enter the forum with a few comments gleaned from my own study
of the esoteric aspects. My understanding is that quintile energy is
about transcending the limitations of the previous 4 dimensions, and learning to
create using the process of magical manifestation. We are being presented
with a perfect moment to test this possibility.

I think we can all concur that the moon is trigger for the formation, and it
opens a very short window of unusually tight-orbed near perfection.

My vote is for 11:11 am here in New Zealand on our 29th, or 10:11 pm on the
28th GMT. My reasoning for this choice was to find the midpoint between
Uranus and Saturn, 15 deg taurus 38, since that makes as many points as
exact as possible. In any case I would give it 15 minutes of clock time
(plus or minus) to make its greatest focus.

We are so fortunate here in the Auckland area to have this moment co-incide with jupiter zenith in our sky, and chiron a direct hit on the ascendant.

Now comes the fun part of the speculation:
If we use astrocartography techniques to "wrap" the aspect around the globe longitudinally, we get a map of where the event is most like to manifest, since manifesting is what this celestial pentagram is all about.

There will be 5 places of culmination at these longitudes,
176 deg e, 112 deg w, 40 deg w, 104 deg e and 32 deg e,
(which I hasten to point out is the meridian that passes thru the great pyramids in Egypt!) each zenithing a different planet.
Conversely there will also be 5 where the star will point down, so to speak and the 5 planets will nadir conjunct.
Depending on the latitudes along each MC or IC line, local refinements and
possibilites could be described by the planets which are angular for that
locale as the star tightens up.

Can we expect events of world impact at these points?
Or can we create a mind grid of aware souls and illuminated meditational force to foster an event of transformation?
What could be done with this kind of energy?
Disarm all the nuclear weapons stashed in armories?
Make "a day the earth stood still" and realign the economy?
Psychically reach into any satellites that have the potential to direct star wars and fritz them?
Or bring in assistance from other planes?
Who knows?

I say we get ourselves to our points of power:
towers turrets labyrinths temples and other sacred spots and see what emerges.
Lets vote with our psi power for a better, more peaceful, fairer place to live and start using our powers of manifestation to create heaven on earth!
This could be a false alarm but it'd still be a great time for a fire drill if we all want to practice for our transition thru the eye of the needle.

Lastly I add some speculative commentary for the interpretative astrologer
about the signifigance of the quintile aspect.
I think all the esoteric aspects; quntile, septile, novile and alephile are about seeking to initiate or participate in a process rather than precipitate an event.

The quintile's core or esoteric property seems to be about getting things, events and energy in the right order:
sequencing (or more exactly arranging them to be in the right relationship to one
another), and bringing the consciousness to bear on the task at hand.
An excellent analogy is the drawing of a pentagram to create a space to perform a magical process.
The star must be drawn in the right order, with just the right pigments.
The invocation must be incanted without hestitation or error at the right astrological moment.
But the operative element in all cases is the intent and consciouness of the invoker.
This aspect is the bridge between animism and metaphysics, where objects are recogized to have their own inherent energy, but only because it is recognized by sentience.

It is the process that animates the material and renders it maleable to
creative thought. Because this process is likely to be disruptive to the
fabric of the world we live in, the pentagram both protects the world the
mage steps out of, and protects the practitioner from outside interference
or effect.
In other words, it gives access to other worlds.
It creates a time or place aside wherein things can occur ignorant or defiant of the
laws of the 3 dimensional plane.
So the star both focuses the energy of the invoker, and protects them, but also puts that act aside from the mundane reality.

The 5 aspect comes after the 4th, shown by the square or grand cross aspect, through which things are accomplished by struggle and problem solving, toughing it out, building stamina, and working within time constraints.

Once we have cut the teeth of our will on solving these square created difficulties, we realize the next step is to find how easily matter(or situations) can be precipitated into or out of existence.

With quintiles the defining or limiting element is the consciouness of the
operant.
No longer is a process defined by its physical characteristics or time imperatives. What is possible no longer pivots on causal relationships but rather relative to the consciouness and concentration of the entitity(s) operating or co-creating the influences.
To do this we have to exercise an intentional use of the time dilation/constriction sphincter, which I can assure we all have on our motherboard, but by mutual agreement, deign not to use.

The possibility of playing our game as if time were negotiable would clearly be very disruptive to the material paradigm values to which we currently subscribe.
For a chunk of us to move to a mindspace where something like "the power of now" is the dominant reality would be very challenging for our whole race.
Within the pentagram, it doesn't matter how long something takes, it only matters that one masters the process, the output is neither here nor there.

And guess what?
the ultimate irony is
when we let go of attachment to the ends, all things become possible!

Ask any 4 year old what you do with a star:
make a wish upon it, of course.

My question is what could we all wish for?

But clearly there is good wishing weather ahead!

Many thanks for sending this to me Saiana ...

Love and light to all

Exploring Karma

Understanding Karma - Towards an Ethical Way of Life

This piece was sent to me by a very good friend, I thought I would share it with you all here - many thanks Maria; much food for thought. The website is definitely worth a visit also ...

"Trickery succeeds sometimes, but it always commits suicide." (Kahlil Gibran)

The Dhammapada is one of the most sacred and best-loved of Buddhist texts. It points out the method of self-realization, by the way of moral conduct:

Like garlands woven from a heap of flowers,
Fashion from your life as many good deeds.

The text further enlightens on the nature of the karmic fruit:

For while the fool's mischief
Tastes sweet, sweet as honey,
But in the end it turns bitter.
And how bitterly he suffers!

Fresh milk takes time to sour.
So a fool's mischief
Takes time to catch up with him.
Like the embers of a fire
It smolders within him.

A fool is happy
Until his mischief turns against him.
And a good man may suffer
Until his goodness flowers.

But as dirt thrown against the wind,
Mischief is blown back in the face
Of the fool who wrongs the pure and harmless.

Nowhere!
Not in the sky,
Nor in the midst of the sea,
Nor deep in the mountains,
Can you hide from your own mischief.

Never speak harsh words
For they will rebound upon you.
Angry words hurt
And the hurt rebounds.

But the fool in his mischief forgets
And he lights the fire
Where in one day he must burn.

He who harms the harmless
Or hurts the innocent,
Ten times shall he fall
Into torment or infirmity,
Injury or disease or madness,
Persecution or fearful accusation,
Loss of family, loss of fortune.

Wilfully you have fed
Your own mischief.
Soon it will crush you
As the diamond crushes stone.

As iron is corroded by rust
Your own mischief will consume you.

If you kill, lie or steal,
Commit adultery or drink,
You dig up your own roots.

You are the source of all purity and impurity.

What you give to him
Will be given back to you,
And more.

For whatever you do, you do to yourself.

Finally there is what is known as the Golden Rule where Confucius argues that the central principle of ethics is not to do what you would not want to have done to yourself:

'Tzu-kung asked,
"Is there one word which may serve as a rule of practice for all one's life?"
The Master said,
"Is not reciprocity such a word? What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others."'

The Bible too guides us to right action:
"All things whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets." (Matthew 7:12)

We are responsible for what we are; and whatever we wish ourselves to be we have the power to make ourselves. If what we are now has been the result of our own past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act. Why should we do good to the world? Apparently to help the world, but really to help ourselves.

According to the law of karma, the action one has done cannot be destroyed until it has borne its fruit; no power in nature can stop it from yielding its result. If I do an evil action, I must suffer from it. Similarly, if I do a good action, it is bound to bear good results. Can there be a higher motivation for an ethical existence on this planet?

Indeed, the law of karma is the best motivation we can have for right thinking, right action and right living. Karma however, is not god's code of punishment. It is not passive or defeatist. Rather, it puts men and women at the center of responsibility for all that they do and all that is done to them. Thus is it rightly
said:

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

Nature's dispensation is simple. Each of us has been given a field of life. We are free to sow whatever we want in this field, which is our karma-kshetra. In other words, we must eat the fruits of our own harvest. This is identical with the biblical idea that
"Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." (Galatians 6:7)

Many of us usually equate karma with evil and sin. This is probably because we become aware of karma only when we are hard-pressed with difficulties, taking for granted all good things in our lives. The fact however remains that:
"Men are not punished for their sins, but by them." (Elbert Hubbard)

Understanding karma is getting to know the knowledge of the secret of work. We see that the whole universe is working and is perpetually in a state of dynamic flux. Why? Because it is the only way in which we can justify our existence and residence on this earth, and go on actively creating and fashioning our lives.

According to Vivekananda: "The world is a grand moral gymnasium wherein we have all to take exercise so as to become stronger and stronger spiritually."

Put in the immortal words of Kahlil Gibran:
"You work that you may keep pace with the earth and the soul of the earth.

For to be idle is to become a stranger unto the seasons, and to step out of life's procession that marches in majesty and proud submission towards the infinite
."

Do Not Lose Heart

by Clarissa Pinkola-Estes, author of 'Women Who Run With the Wolves'

Do not lose heart. We were made for these times.

I've heard from so many recently who are deeply and properly bewildered,
concerned about the state of affairs in our world right now. Ours is a time
of almost daily astonishment and often righteous rage over the latest
degradations of what matters most to civilized, visionary people.

You are right in your assessments. The lustre and hubris some have aspired
to while endorsing acts so heinous against children, elders, everyday
people, the poor, the unguarded, the helpless, is breathtaking. Yet I urge
you, ask you, gentle you, to please not spend your spirit dry by bewailing
these difficult times. Especially do not lose hope. Most particularly
because, the fact is "we were made for these times". Yes. For years, we've
been learning, practicing, training and just waiting to meet on this exact
plain of engagement.

I grew up on the Great Lakes and recognize a seaworthy vessel when I see
one. Regarding awakened souls, there have never been more able crafts in
the waters than there are right now across the world. And they are fully
provisioned and able to signal one another as never before in the history of
humankind... Look out over the prow; there are millions of boats of
righteous souls on the waters with you. Even though your veneers may shiver
from every wave in this stormy roil, I assure you that the long timbers
composing your prow and rudder come from a greater forest. That
long-grained lumber is known to withstand storms, to hold together, to hold
its own, and to advance, regardless.

We've been in training for a dark time such as this, since the day we
assented to come to Earth. For many decades, worldwide, souls just like us
have been felled and left for dead in so many ways over and over brought
down by naïveté, by lack of love, by being ambushed and assaulted by various
cultural and personal shocks in the extreme. We have a history of being
gutted, and yet remember this especially, we have also, of necessity,
perfected the knack of resurrection. Over and over again we have been the
living proof that that which has been exiled, lost, or foundered can be
restored to life again.

In any dark time, there is a tendency to veer toward fainting over how much
is wrong or unmended in the world. Do not focus on that. There is a
tendency too to fall into being weakened by persevering with what's outside
our reach, what cannot yet be. Do not focus there.

That's spending the wind without raising the sails. We are needed, that is
all we can know. And though we meet resistance, we, more so, will meet great
souls who will hail us, love us and guide us, and we will know them when
they appear. Didn't you say you were a believer?

Didn't you say you pledged to listen to a voice greater? Didn't you ask for
grace? Don't you remember that to be in grace means to submit to the voice
greater?

Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of
stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach.

Any small, calm thing that one soul can do to help another soul, to assist
some portion of this poor suffering world, will help immensely. It is not
given to us to know which acts or by whom, will cause the critical mass to
tip toward an enduring good. What's needed for dramatic change is an
accumulation of acts, adding, adding to, adding more, continuing. We know
that it does not take "everyone on Earth" to bring justice and peace, but
only a small, determined group who will not give up during the first,
second, or hundredth gale.

One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a
stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Soul on deck shines like
gold in dark times. The light of the soul throws sparks, can send up
flares, builds signal fires, causes proper matters to catch fire. To
display the lantern of soul in shadowy times like these - to be fierce and
to show mercy toward others, both are acts of immense bravery and greatest
necessity. Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit
and willing to show it. If you would help to calm the tumult, this is one
of the strongest things you can do.

There will always be times when you feel discouraged. I too have felt
despair many times in my life, but I do not keep a chair for it; I will not
entertain it. It is not allowed to eat from my plate. The reason is this:
In my uttermost bones I know something, as do you. It is that there can be
no despair when you remember why you came to Earth, who you serve, and who
sent you here. The good words we say and the good deeds we do are not ours.
They're the words and deeds of the One who brought us here. In that spirit,
I hope you will write this on your wall:

When a great ship is in harbor and moored, it is safe, there can be no
doubt. But that is not what great ships are built for.

This comes with much love and prayer that you remember who you came from,
and why you came to this beautiful, needful Earth.

Sea Priestess Energy and the Cloaked Ones

What a rare and wonderful thing it is to meet a person who is like-minded.
What a joy when you are invited to share with others of the same ilk.
How astounding to realise there are 22 of you invited.

22 like-minded women!
From all walks of life, and from all socio-economic groups. Race, Colour and creed were not important; Indeed the group was empowered by the very depth and variety of the members. All sharing, laughing, crying, creating, healing, and feeling; all in the name of hope and compassion on a universal scale.

This amazing weekend happened all because of two very good friends listening to the call of the Sea Priestess. Let me quote the invitation to the gathering ...

"The idea was born when a friend told me she wanted to spend her 50th birthday doing magickal stuff that she wanted, not celebrating with big non-aware gatherings of eating, drinking and 'hating it' affairs. So, one of the things that happened was that I made her a 'Sea Priestess' Cloak. She said she wanted the forbidden dark depths of the ocean, combined with silver moonlight and moody pools. She wanted stormy grey greens and inky black colours of the waters that brood in the night while we sleep, and that she didn't want to be seen. She didn't want it for show.

Over a period of about 3 months I went through the range of water colours from the lightest aqua daylight waters in Fiji to the very deepest of turquoise and indigo residing in the darkest underwater caves of the ocean, without quite touching black.
The Sea Priestess rode with me in this journey and conveyed much information ... some of which is about hope and compassion.

After amassing fabrics of many colours and textures I finally settled on just one for my friend. I became very mindful during that time that I have made many cloaks over the past two years and it became obvious that it wouldn't hurt to call on them all to come together with their wearers and see what might happen, as many of them are the colours of the sea.

A cloak is an interesting garment. Historically, it was an easy garment that kept one warm, covered, and clean. Cloaks have become garments of ritual and carry many meanings. The ones I make have become a clean slate which can be energetically charged with intent. The major intent seems to be down to 3 things:
Protection
Regeneration
Creativity
Anyway, they seem to have a need to get together and I suspect that we may end up with a very colourful deep sea of consciousness just waiting to work for humanity."

(Mary Hunt - Cloakmaker and Dance Energy Worker)

How blessed we are that these ladies followed their calling and listened to the Sea Priestess. From their vision was born a time of great healing for some, huge steps in the journeys of others, confirmation of beliefs and truths with empowering of talents and creativity.

Here is a small sample of some of the things this group has to offer:
Cloak Making
Faery Wishing Shawls

Bay of Islands Review (Whale Rider Country!)

focus on

Bay of Islands

This beautiful area is New Zealand's finest maritime playground. Scuba diving, kayaking, swimming with dolphins and scenic cruises are among the host of year-round maritime activities. The cradle of European settlement, the region attracted the country's first whalers and missionaries. Paihia (Whale Rider Country) is the main resort and fishing centre, providing convenient access to the historic village of Russell across the harbour. Nearby is Waitangi, where New Zealand's founding political document, the Treaty of Waitangi, was signed in 1840. Kerikeri is famous for its arts and crafts and historic buildings, including the Stone Store and Kemp House. Tours are available to Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach in the Far North, and across to the beautiful Hokianga Harbour on the Kauri Coast.

attractions include:

Bay of Islands Maritime Park
One of New Zealand's most beautiful areas, encompassing 144 islands and offering world-class fishing and diving, and a range of scenic cruises and wildlife tours.

Hole in the Rock
This impressive natural rock arch can be visited by boat from Paihia.
Enjoying beautiful views of the bay, the 506ha Waitangi Reserve is home to the Treaty House, where the Treaty of Waitangi was signed in 1840.There is also a Maori meeting house and a carved waka (war canoe).

Swimming with the Dolphins
Experience the thrill of swimming with bottle-nosed and common dolphins, which frequent the bay year-round.

Fishing

The NZ Big Game Fishing Nationals are held in the Bay of Islands during February, with catches including marlin, shark and kingfish.

Kerikeri Arts and Crafts Trail
A circuit of artisans in and around Kerikeri from potters to chocolate and wine makers.
